I use a print on demand company, Printify, for all of products sold in my store. Interested, but want to know how it works? And the company’s pros and cons? I got you covered! Here’s my review of Printify print on demand.
My Review Of Printify Print On Demand: Easy To Start
The first pro in my review of Printify print on demand is that it’s incredibly easy to start. All you have to do is sign up for an account and create your store.
While creating your store you have to enter the information about it, like the store’s name and address, but this is also the place where you choose what type of framework it uses. Printify integrates with several store frameworks like Shopify and WooCommerce. If you haven’t chosen a store framework yet you can still use the service, however, to order samples. You only need to connect your store to your account when you finally want to sell your products.
Finally, Printify operates in several countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and several European countries. This means you can operate a business domestically and internationally without having to spend much time and energy finding vendors to print your designs.
My Review Of Printify Print On Demand: So Many Products To Choose From
The second pro in my review of Printify print on demand is that there’s so many products to choose from to sell in your store. Yes, they have the popular items like t-shirts and mugs but you can also print up calendars, blankets, pillows, and bottles.
On top of having different products to choose from, the company is always adding new products. Thus, if you are looking for a particular item that’s not available you can wait for a bit and it will become available. Or you can always contact the company and request a certain product. It may take some time for Printify to make it available but the company usually pulls through with requests.
Finally, you can view which products you can print your designs on before signing up with the company. It’s a great way to check out if they have the right products for you.
Designing Your Products Is Simple
A big pro in my opinion for Printify is designing your products. Making sure the layout will look on the finished product is critical. Yet, the company’s design templates make it that what you see on the preview image is how the printed product will look like. Thus, you don’t have to waste money on samples because the layout was wrong, or you thought it would look different.
Printify allows you to get precise with designing. You can do left, center, or right align. There’s also horizontal and vertical align. Enlarging or shrinking your design can be done with dragging or by entering numbers in the “scale” option. Finally, you can layer multiple designs on the same product using layers.
Picking Vendors Is A Breeze
My final pro in my review of Printify print on demand is how easy it is to pick a vendor who will fulfill your orders.
Printify itself doesn’t print anything. All they do is make the software the integrates your online store to their vendors. Thus, when a customer makes an order for an item, Printify if notified and the company tells the vendor you chose to print said item.
You can review the vendor’s inventory of various items, their rating, and how long it takes them to fulfill an order before choosing them to make your products. I suggest reviewing how long it takes a vendor to fulfill an order. Because if it takes that company much longer than the others to print and ship your item you need to inform your customers. Also, every vendor has different prices for the products and shipping costs.
Removing Old Designs Is Unavailable
My biggest con with Printify is that I’m unable to remove old designs. Although there is an archive feature I rather delete old and outdated designs permanently. I asked the Printify Support about this and they said that could be a possibility in the future. As of right now it isn’t.
